Now For Some Colour Refinement and Detail
This stunning tiger is currently on my easel. As soon as I saw this photograph I just had to paint it - so thank you Wildlife Reference Photos for the fabulous image I am using as my reference material. I love finding the unusual colours in an image and really enhancing those to allow the piece to have real depth and added interest, enabling something truly vibrant to emerge from the paper. If you look closely at this tiger, you will find purples, pinks, turquoises, the odd neon colour here and there, and a subtle touch of metallics as well as "normal" tiger colours :) This piece will be for sale once complete.
